Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer to design, commission, and support electrical, instrumentation and control systems for projects. The role focuses on ensuring safe, reliable and efficient performance of electrical and instrumentation systems across project lifecycle from concept and detailed design through installation, testing, and handover. The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical expertise in electrical and instrumentation engineering with strong skills in control systems, AutoCAD/EPLAN drafting, and SCADA implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed electrical and instrumentation designs, drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and EPLAN for power distribution, control panels, field instrumentation.
- Design and apply control system architecture and logic for PLC/DCS/SCADA integrations to meet process and safety requirements.
- Select, specify and procure electrical equipment, instruments and control devices; prepare BOMs and technical bid evaluations.
- Perform loop checking, FAT/SAT, commissioning and start-up support for instrumentation and control systems; troubleshoot and resolve system issues onsite.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams, contractors and vendors to ensure design intent, constructability and timely delivery of project milestones.
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical, instrumentation and safety codes, standards and company procedures; carry out risk assessments and participate in HAZOPs as required.
- Provide ongoing technical support, maintenance guidance and training to operations and maintenance teams for electrical and control systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering or related discipline preferred.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering (preferred industrial projects such as oil & gas, power, chemical, manufacturing or similar).
- Proven experience with control systems design (PLC/DCS), SCADA systems, and integrated automation solutions.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Eplan for electrical and instrumentation drawings.
- Experience with commissioning, loop testing, FAT/SAT and troubleshooting of E&I systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes (IEC, NEC, ISA, IEEE) and safety practices (LOTO, electrical safety).
