Environmental Qualification Engineer

A vacancy for Environmental Qualification Engineer has been arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe.

The successful applicant will join Engineering Support team to perform transversal activities within Systems Center of Competence.

The job holder will support the entire development life-cycle from requirement analysis, system definition, development, environmental qualification, integration and certification/qualification in a multi platform environment. As there are a variety of programs in different development/in-service stages, job is quite dynamic in terms of systems involved and tasks.

We are looking for a candidate passionate about engineering, who wants to make a change of prospective in its career and flexible to adapt to the most pure technical tasks with capability to manage technical interfaces, stakeholders or supplier management.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

• To support the entire system development life-cycle from requirement analysis, development, environmental qualification, integration and certification/qualification in a multi platform environment.
• To define Environmental Qualification requirements, Environmental Qualification test and to review test results for equipments
• Define interfaces between functions, or between systems and to manage their consistent implementation into system(s).
• Provide input to checkpoints and reviews with associated maturity expectation aligned with program phases and gates.
• Support Environmental Qualification campaign
• Verify that the system's requirements are correctly & completely implemented
• To ensure the product is designed according to the state-of-art and the relevant safety standards
• To ensure compliance of the product with airworthiness regulations
• Support production, reception flight testing & delivery.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Educated to degree level in Engineering
• Experience Level in System Development more than 5 years
• Experience Level in Environmental Qualification activities more than 2 years
• Flexibility to adapt to different tasks and different environments
• English Professional Level required.
