Mechanical Engineer - 3D Designer (Early Career)

This position will be based in Wendell, NC. Local candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Work with guidance from an assigned mentor and senior engineer to design models of parts and assemblies for energy management equipment from concept to completed 3D model.
- Be a critical part of a custom designed‑to‑order business focused on unique customer requirements.
- Work directly with the factory manufacturing team addressing any challenges as they produce your designs.
- Help improve products by working collaboratively to identify design enhancements and integrate them.
- Create Bills of Materials, develop new assemblies, validate functionality, and release parts/assemblies to production.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (must be completed before start date).
- One or more years of experience in 3D modeling on the job or demonstrated knowledge from school projects.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with mechanical design for medium voltage switch gear, preference given to experience with Siemens switch gear and electrical products.
- Experience with sheet metal design.

- Pay range: $50,337 - $86,292 annually (actual wage offers may vary).
