Controls Engineer – Exempt

Full Time, Mocksville, NC, US

Salary Range: $90,000.00 – $ Annually

Assure electronic controls are operational and spare parts are available.

• Back up all programs, hook up laptop to PLC to assure proper operation
• Assist maintenance techs to resolve problems when needed
• Perform maintenance duties as needed
• Perform modifications on machines, including fabricating new parts as needed
• Communicate with corporate controls engineer to resolve problems
• Analyze functions of older or failing parts/software to determine proper solution
• Advise and train maintenance employees
• Ensure quality by continually watching for any abnormality and reporting it timely
• Follow safety procedures and use material and equipment per manufacturers' directions
• Other duties as assigned

Employee must have a two-year degree or higher in electronics engineering or a related field, or a combination of education and experience. Must possess good problem solving, basic math skills, and effective interpersonal skills. Working harmoniously with co-workers while exhibiting a "can-do" attitude is critical to success. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

Work area is a manufacturing environment which is not climate controlled year round with noise levels ranging from moderate to loud, requiring hearing protection.
