Position Summary: This posting will be used to maintain a pool of eligible adjunct faculty members to meet part-time teaching needs in the Department of Civil Engineering and Construction. Candidates will teach civil engineering courses as required, preparing teaching materials, giving lectures, overseeing laboratories, project work, grading, and developing assessment mechanisms. Course assignments will be determined by departmental needs and candidate background.

• Prepare teaching materials and deliver lectures in designated civil engineering courses.
• Oversee laboratory and project work for students.
• Grading and assessment of student performance.
• Develop and maintain assessment mechanisms.

• Master's degree in civil engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.

• PhD in civil engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Professional Engineering (PE) licensure.
• Extensive practical experience in civil engineering.

• Final candidates will be subject to criminal, sex‑offender, and in some cases credit and motor‑vehicle background checks.
• All new employees are required to have listed credentials and degrees verified within 30 days of employment, and official transcripts provided for the highest earned degree.
