Our U.S. headquarters in

** is a hub for engineering, manufacturing, and assembly. The site produces EV chargers, photovoltaic solutions, motor control centers, retrofit and replacement breakers, and more-all contributing to the transformation of how energy is delivered and consumed.

** We are looking for a Commodity Manager - Contract Manufacturing. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.  Relocation assistance is available.*
* The Commodity Manager is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for contract manufacturing of  
** switch gear, electrical components, and power electronics products
** under the leadership of Senior Commodity Professional - Contract Manufacturing. This role ensures a  
** competitive, agile, and high-performance supply chain
** that meets Siemens Smart Infrastructure Electrification & Automation (EA) business objectives.

** You'll**  ** make an impact by:*
* ** Strategic Sourcing & Commodity Strategy*
* 1. Develop and implement commodity strategies for  
** switch gear assemblies, busbar systems, power electronics, and related components** .

2. Align strategies with business goals for cost productivity, quality, and on-time delivery.

3. Conduct market and supplier analysis to understand cost structures, capacity, and risks.

** Supplier Relationship Management*
* 1. Select and manage suppliers capable of delivering high-quality products at competitive pricing.

2. Establish long-term partnerships with  
** EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) providers and contract manufacturers** .

3. Conduct quarterly business reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

4.  
** Supplier Performance Management*
* 5. Lead regular supplier performance reviews (e.g., Quarterly Business Reviews - QBRs) focusing on quality, delivery, cost, and innovation.

6. Proactively address and resolve supplier performance issues, non-conformances, and delivery challenges to minimize impact on production.

** Contract Management*
* 1. Negotiate contracts for contract manufacturing and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

2. Manage frame agreements and global pooling strategies for cost optimization.

** Cost & Risk Management*
* 1. Identify cost reduction opportunities through volume leverage, alternate sourcing, and design collaboration.

2. Monitor global supply chain trends to mitigate risks related to tariffs, logistics, and material shortages.

** Cross-Functional Collaboration*
* 1. Work closely with engineering, PLM, and quality teams to ensure supplier readiness for new product introductions (NPI).

2. Support product lifecycle management and integrate supplier expertise into portfolio decisions.

* + Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.

** 5+ years of experience
** in commodity management, strategic sourcing, or procurement within electrical or power electronics products manufacturing.
