- We are seeking a highly motivated Contract Engineer to support the implementation of EV battery manufacturing equipment. This role focuses on production preparation, equipment installation, commissioning, and new production line launches at a large-scale battery manufacturing facility.
- Prepare and deliver daily written and verbal project status reports up to senior leadership.
- Develop process plans for battery production lines with support from engineering management.
- Collaborate with engineers, construction teams, technicians, vendors, and contractors to achieve project milestones.
- Support equipment procurement, installation planning, commissioning, pre-production trials, and production launch activities.
- Work within clean room environments while following advanced cleanliness protocols.
- Lead and support equipment acceptance trials at supplier facilities and after installation to ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are achieved.
- Identify punch list items, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Summarize KPIs, support mass-production handover, and resolve production issues.
- Coordinate with domestic and international cross-functional teams to manage project schedules and open issues.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.
- Track and maintain project budgets.
- Complete required internal and external technical training.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing production preparation and execution of capital projects from planning through mass production.
- Experience creating and maintaining detailed schedules for manufacturing equipment installation projects.
- Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings, including facility layouts and process equipment drawings.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or other 2D/3D drafting software.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and scheduled plant shutdown periods based on project requirements.
- MES experience.
- Experience with Kepware or similar SCADA data systems.
- PLC programming experience, including the ability to read, interpret, and modify PLC logic.
