Engineering Technologist III

This classification represents the third level of a degreed technical role for non-engineering personnel. The Engineering Technologist III provides technical expertise to resolve complex issues and applies leadership capabilities to oversee and direct work within a defined area of expertise, with limited supervision. This position provides engineering support for major projects within the Triad Zone, including distribution system upgrades from the substation to the customer.

The role requires coordination with engineering firms, customers, contractors, and management, as well as participation in field visits and customer meetings. The position utilizes Maximo and BOUD and supports storm response efforts locally or in other designated locations, as required.

Specific Requirements Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A minimum of two years of relevant industry experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or a minimum of six years of equivalent experience without a degree. Direct experience in electric distribution.
