Support Engineer – Pulp & Paper – Water

• Perform routine testing and monitoring at the customer site, including data entry
• Contribute to service report preparation
• Interface with customers to understand issues involving chemicals or equipment
• Manage customer product inventory, deliveries to process units and offloading to customer tanks
• Adjust chemical feed levels based on testing and monitoring
• Deliver chemicals and compile trial data at customer sites
• Alert the site manager to customer problems or opportunities and begin troubleshooting
• Conduct expanded process-variable testing to identify dosage improvements or mechanical impacts
• Specify, set up, maintain and troubleshoot monitoring and feed equipment
• Work with site teams and customers to ensure optimal program performance
• Conduct lab testing, repair and install chemical feed equipment, enter data into Excel, control inventory and perform chemical transfers
• Maintain positive customer relationships with mill personnel
• Provide pre-sales technical expertise, technical input to bids and projects, product demonstrations and recommendations to sales teams and customers

• Bachelor’s Degree (Science or other technical degree); experience may be considered in lieu of a technical degree
• Ability to solve complex and non-routine technical problems
• Strong relationship management skills
• Industry and customer literacy, or ability to quickly learn industry and Solenis technologies
• Drive for results and proactive approach to complex issues
• Fluency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Power Point
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen and physical
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record

Demonstrates expertise in chemical feed management, routine testing, and customer relationship management while ensuring optimal program performance and troubleshooting technical issues. Proficient in data entry and analysis using Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
