Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Reporting To: Manager, Value Stream

Work Schedule: Onsite – Murphy, NC

Our Moog Industrial Group is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join them. You will report to the Value Stream Managers and will have an onsite work schedule in Murphy, North Carolina. As a Manufacturing Engineer you will handle various responsibilities including project management, technical support, and process improvement.

• Project Management:
  Handle projects or parts of projects assigned by management.
• Technical Support:
  Offer support in process development and continuous improvement.
• Design Reviews:
  Participate in ensuring product designs are manufacturable.

  Activities:
  
  Assist and drive failure mode effect analysis.
• Engineering Drawings:
  Sign off on drawings and detail assembly operations.
• Tool and Fixture Design:
  Provide concept designs for production tools and fixtures.
• Manufacturing Instructions:
  Compile instructions and routings.
• Cost Analysis:
  Perform cost analysis and provide labor content for quotes.
• LEAN Principles:
  Apply Lean manufacturing principles.
• Assembly Line Layouts:
  Develop layouts for assembly lines.
• Packaging Development:
  Assist in product packaging development and selection.
• Capital Equipment:
  Justify and purchase equipment.
• Floor Support:
  Provide daily support to assigned areas.
• Supplier Support:
  Support offshore suppliers as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology.
• OR Associate's degree with 6 years' equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years in manufacturing electromechanical devices or related fields.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support product lines.

  Skills:
  
  Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints; knowledge of statistical monitoring practices; CAD experience for creating visual work instructions; proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing;
  Lean/5S Manufacturing background; experience in tooling design (actual or conceptual); experience troubleshooting industrial machinery.

Salary Range Transparency:
Murphy, NC $75,000.00–$90,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
