* ** You'll make an impact by:*
* + Supporting geometry simplification of standard mechanical assemblies to improve simulation performance and turnaround time.

+ Simplifying and preparing 3D designs in NX for use in simulation workflows.

+ Supporting mechanical design activities within NX to enable simulation and analysis efforts.

+ Collaborating with sensor simulation engineers to support simulation requests and design updates.

+ Assisting with organization and documentation of simulation-ready models and design files.

* Basic Qualifications:

* + Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

+

Experience with 3D modeling tools. (ie, Creo, NX, Solidworks, etc.)

+ Ability to work on-site full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the 12-week summer internship.

+ Eligible candidates must be located within 50 miles of Wendell, NC, as this role does not provide relocation support.

+ Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

+ This internship is a structured experiential learning program for individuals currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program who will continue their studies following the assignment. Current and continuing enrollment is a condition of participation. Applicants who have completed or expect to complete their educational program before or during the assignment period are encouraged to explore our Early Career Development Program opportunities.

* Preferred Qualifications:

* + Advanced 3D modeling techniques or experience with complex assemblies.

+ Familiarity with simulation concepts or coursework such as finite element analysis.

+ Familiarity with linear algebra.

+ Experience using NX for mechanical design or simulation preparation.

+ Strong organizational and time-management skills.

+ Ability to communicate technical information effectively.

+ Attention to detail and willingness to learn simulation workflows.
