Pay Rate:$75.00 - $85.00 per hour (W2 Only)

Seeking a passionate and highly passionate and highly motivated ENGINEER to join our Ryohin Joken (Conditions for Good Process and Product) advancement and problem-solving group. They are responsible for leading planning and problem-solving efforts in pre-production trial activity. They will utilize and improve systems & procedures for efficient and effective issue identification, root cause analysis, issue resolution, reoccurrence prevention / Kaizen to subsequent activity and projects, and project management of trials.
They will contribute to the success of developing organization s capabilities through advancement & application of Ryohin Joken knowledge and skill.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Leader of cross-functional team collaborating with equipment
• Engage and resolve material, product, and process issues both internal and external
• Create and implement working/trial plan for confirmation & problem-solving activity using Toyota Business Practice methods (TBP) or equivalent Lean practices
• Create detail technical and summary reports for organizational learning and development
• Input to process & equipment plan/specification for Kaizen & issue reoccurrence prevention
• Use and advancement of systems and procedure for problem solving & learning capture
• Individual activity management, status visualization/reporting, and incremental reflection
• Lead internal & external partner relationships aligning to team objectives, development, and support
• Activity related to PE-BME Department level Hoshin/ overall direction for organizational advancement
• Individual support for standardization & Kaizen (continuous improvement) of Department systems and processes
• Mentor and Teach other members in the team on battery knowledge, trial planning and execution, data analysis and Toyota principles if applicable
• Drive own individual development, seek feedback, and monitor progress
REQUIRED SKILLS/
EXPERIENCE:
MUST HAVES:
• Assembly heavy manufacturing knowledge w/ project management & problem solving skills
• EFill manufacturing awareness w/ heavy knowledge on project management (EFill is electrolyte fill)
Candidate MUST have these skills
• Knowledge in battery chemistry and trials to confirm materials
• Knowledge in battery manufacturing process and problem solving
• Trial management and KPI confirmation
• Evaluation of cell performance using analytical tools and quality functions

• Chemical and material engineers
• Quality for battery, semiconductors, and chemical materials.
EXPERIENCE:
• 3+ years of equivalent Engineering role experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in manufacturing production preparation role and schedule/deliverable management, including stages of project plan, process/equipment plan, specification & procurement, installation and trial.
• 2+ years in winding, cell assembly & electrolyte fill on automotive cells
