, in partnership with a prominent Furniture Manufacturer firm in the Denton, NC area, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Technician to join our team! Temp to Hire position.
Job Summary:
- Pay: DOE
- Shift Available: 1st Shift: 8a-5p M-F
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician with strong AutoCAD skills to join our manufacturing team in Denton, NC. This role combines engineering support, fabrication planning, process improvement, and production coordination to ensure the successful manufacture of high-quality products. The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience interpreting technical drawings, creating manufacturing layouts, managing BOMs, and supporting metal fabrication processes in a fast-paced production environment.
Requirements- Required At least 3 years of experience interpreting technical drawings
- Required At least 3 years of experience Creating Manufacturing layouts
- Required At least 3 years of experience managing BOMs
- Required to have at least 1 year of Auto Cad experience.
- Experience supporting fabrication processes
- Technical Blueprint Analysis:
Interpret complex engineering drawings, 2D CAD models (AutoCAD), and part layouts to establish fabrication workflows - Process Optimization:
Design metal part assembly layouts, fixtures, and jigs (Auto Cad) - Welding & Machining Oversight:
Set operational parameters for Welding (MIG), and Laser cutting (MetaCAM) - Material & Bill of Materials (BOM) Management:
Generate accurate BOMs and verify supply logistics against construction deadlines - Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project timelines (Excel)
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a larger team of technicians
- Ability to communicate/understand English
- Able to perform inspections for critical part tolerances (Calipers, Tape measure, Cordax and Height Gauge)
- Basic mechanical aptitude to use equipment and maintain general understanding of business process
- Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret blueprints and develop effective fabrication strategies
