Job Description

International Drilling Equipment is seeking a Parts Specialist to join our team.

The Parts Specialist will report to the Parts Manager and be responsible for assisting customers and mechanics in determining parts requirements, ensuring all parts issues are handled expeditiously and providing order processing services.

The individual in this position should be personable, a problem solver, have a sense of urgency, be detail oriented, ethical, work under pressure, willing to learn and be challenged, have a positive attitude, strong work ethic and be able to adapt to all the forces around them – customers, suppliers, department employees, co‑workers and manufacturers employees.

Primary

Job Responsibilities
  • Data entry for parts sales order, purchasing, receiving, logistics, pricing, and warehousing processes.
  • Warehousing functions - picking, packing and shipping.
  • Job function support for the parts department as required.
  • Clear and precise verbal and written communication.
  • Understand parts manuals and schematics.
  • Assist service dept in looking up and obtaining parts needed for service work orders.
  • Must be able to follow up with customers and other departments within IDE.
  • Operates within all parts policies and procedures of the company.
  • Maintains a high level of morale.
  • Maintains excellent interdepartmental relations.
  • Works safely and follows all safety guidelines.
  • Knowledgeable on all computer systems and processes for all parts department functions.
  • Familiar with all parts department forms and documents and the appropriate methods for complying with each of the information requirements of these forms.
  • Adapt to changes in any manual or computer‑related systems and procedures.
  • Provide customer service that improves customer success.
Qualifications
  • 5 years industrial parts experience required.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Microsoft Dynamics knowledge preferred but not required.
  • Represent IDE in a professional manner to customers, vendors and coworkers.
  • Build and retain both vendor and customer relationships.
Work Hours and Environment
  • Working hours are M‑F 9am to 5:30pm.
  • Work Environment is an office that is air‑conditioned/heated according to season.
  • This position reports to the Rural Hall, NC, location.
Benefits

IDE offers a competitive benefits package for full‑time employees. You will be eligible to enroll after 90 days of employment. This package includes health/vision/dental insurance, 401K with matching, and paid company holidays and paid PTO/sick time. More information about our benefits will be provided in the offer letter.
