WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

• Partner with the Controller and Director of Finance to manage core accounting processes and drive strategic financial planning
• Lead manufacturing cost accounting functions, including analysis of labor, materials, and overhead
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation and perform periodic reconciliations to maintain integrity across systems
• Develop profitability analyses by product, customer, and business unit to guide pricing and operational strategy
• Maintain general ledger accuracy across AP, AR, and journal entries related to inventory and standard costs
• Drive month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, preparing schedules and reconciliations
• Support audits through timely and accurate cost and financial documentation
• Help build and maintain internal controls related to inventory and costing accuracy
• Leverage ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics BC 14) to manage financial data, reconciliations, and reporting
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives focused on continuous improvement and financial planning

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 4-5+ years of progressive general accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of cost and inventory accounting principles
• Advanced analytical skills with a focus on financial accuracy and decision support
• High proficiency in Excel and ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics BC, SAP, or Oracle
• Organized and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong communicator with the ability to present financial data clearly to various stakeholders
• Self-motivated and collaborative; able to work independently and cross-functionally
