RAS Staff Accountant

Overview

Ensures accurate management, reporting and maintenance of accounts for timely billing, invoicing, and flow of information within the RAS Department

Level 8 position

• Creates quotes for pricing of services offered to customers
• Prepares and processes purchase orders
• Responsible for receiving product and creating the invoices and vouchers
• Defines, maintains, and adjusts weekly fees as needed
• Manages Inventory and makes associated adjustments as necessary
• Verifies data on payment vouchers as well as all IC invoices
• Processes all vouchers and invoices through Accounts Payable system
• Responsible for scanning of documentation
• Prepares accurate and timely weekly reporting
• Works with multiple systems to prepare ad hoc reporting and KPIs
• Responds to various outside requests for accounting information
• Verify actual vs budgeted financial variances each fiscal period and projects upcoming period sales relative to budget
• Review and reconcile the RAS financial statements, creating or adjusting entries as needed
• Assists in preparation of RAS budget yearly for both MDI and Lowes Foods

Desirable

Qualifications:

• Possess the knowledge and skill generally associated with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Experience with retail operations preferred.
• Possess expert knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Must have strong communication, organization, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
