The Town Of East Spencer, Rowan County, North Carolina, is Seeking An Experienced Leader For The Full-time Position Of Town Manager. Located Approximately 49 Miles From Charlotte and Greensboro, East Spencer is located off of I-85. The Town Operates In The Council-manager Form Of Government And Is Governed By An Elected Mayor And A Six-member City Council. The Town Has A Stable And Experienced Governing Board With A Progressive Mindset.

East Spencer Has A General Fund Budget Of Approximately $3.5 Million, And Water And Sewer Fund Of $1.5 Million. The Town Provides Police Protection, Fire Protection, Code Enforcement, And Public Works. The Town Also Has Water/Sewer Services That Is Managed By Salisbury Rowan Utilities. The Town Manager Serves As The Chief Administrator And Is Responsible To The Mayor And Council For The Town's Day-to-day Operations.

Success In This Role Will Require Strong Communication Skills, Sound Judgment And Decision-making, A Strong Work Ethic, And The Ability To Build Trust While Navigating Complex Issues. Pre-employment Drug Test And Background Check Required. Nc Driver's License Is Required.

Minimum Requirements Include Graduation From An Accredited College Or University In Public Administration, Business Administration, Or A Related Field, Complemented At Least 5 Years Of Increasingly Responsible Local Government Management Experience. An Equivalent Combination Of Education And Management Experience Will Be Considered. Preferred Qualifications Include: A Master's Degree In Public Administration;
And Experience As A Town Manager Or Assistant Town Manager.

Hiring Range Of $85,000-$105,000 Commensurate With Qualifications.
