Chetola Resort is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, and guest-focused Hair Stylist to work with customers to help them achieve the look they want. This involves much more than cutting hair—stylists must communicate with customers to understand their exact needs, recommend the best styles for clients, and deliver Forbes Travel Guide–aligned service experience.
Weekend and holiday availability is required, as these are critical, high-demand periods for Spa operations and overall earning potential. Flexibility to support a variable schedule based on business levels is essential for success in this role.
As a member of the Chetola team, you will play a key role in delivering a Forbes-aligned guest experience while supporting the continued growth and success of the Spa.
What You’ll Do Guest Experience & Service Delivery- Provide consistent, professional hair services in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
- Create a calm, welcoming, and personalized environment for each guest.
- Assess guest needs and recommend appropriate treatments, enhancements, and wellness solutions.
- Educate guests on wellness, self-care practices and product usage.
- Deliver services within the appropriate time allotted and ensure prompt, on‑time start and completion of each appointment.
- Handle guest questions, concerns and requests professionally, courteously and promptly.
- Provide accurate, appropriate and timely responses to all guest needs.
- Actively promote spa services and home‑care programs, meeting minimum retail sales goals, to enhance the guest experience.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all spa services, products and current promotions.
- Prepare treatment rooms before each service and properly clean, sanitize and restock rooms after each appointment.
- Uphold all sanitation, sterilization and safety standards in accordance with state law and spa policies.
- Properly care for spa equipment and use appropriate product amounts to support cost control efforts.
- Communicate any guest or operational concerns to Spa leadership in a timely manner.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a supportive, team‑oriented work environment.
- Support overall Spa operations and assist in other areas as requested by management.
- Station readiness:
Proper lighting, calming music, comfortable temperature and a fully prepared, clutter‑free environment before each guest arrives. - Personal presentation:
Professional, polished appearance with a calm, confident presence that immediately puts guests at ease. - Touch and technique consistency:
Smooth transitions, consistent pressure and attention to guest cues throughout the service. - Sanitation excellence:
Meticulous cleaning and sanitation of treatment rooms, tools and surfaces between each service. - Guest transitions:
Warm, unhurried greetings and closings that create a seamless, elevated experience from arrival to departure. - Product and aroma control:
Thoughtful use of oils and products to enhance the experience without overwhelming the senses. - Awareness and anticipation:
Noticing and adjusting small details—temperature, pressure, comfort or guest preferences—before they are voiced.
