Monday-Friday 8am-5PM

Pay Range

$28.55 - $42.85

Duties
  • Photograph patients with standard and wide field fundus cameras.
  • Photograph patients with a photo slitlamp camera.
  • Perform fluorescein angiograms.
  • Photographically record patients with a camera to document external pathology.
  • Photocopy, on color and black and white films, books, charts, graphs, and typed material for use in lecture slides; make duplicate slides.
  • Process, mount, and print film from patient photography (fluorescein angiograms, endothelial cells, etc.) and photocopies.
  • Sort, label, and file photographs (negatives, positives, slides and prints.)
  • Clean and maintain photographic and related equipment.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
  • Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
  • Four years of photography experience, including a minimum of two years of experience in performance of ophthalmic photography duties including fundus photography and fluorescein angiography. One year of experience in slitlamp photography is required.
  • Knowledge of and adequate experience to perform basic and specialized black and white darkroom procedures.
  • Knowledge of and adequate experience to perform routine ophthalmic photocopies.
  • Knowledge of and adequate experience to perform sorting, labeling, and filing of ophthalmic photographs.
  • Ability to perform the above duties at a professional level of quality and speed and with professional rapport with patients and staff.
  • Additional Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience beyond the minimum required.
  • Current certification as a Certified Retinal Angiographer.
