Physical Therapist – Outpatient – Davie Medical Center

Position OverviewDepartment: 37697, Davie Medical Center – Physical Therapy, Bermuda Run.
Status:
Full Time. Hours per week: 40.
Schedule:
Flexible with weekend coverage once per month, inpatient or outpatient experience encouraged.
Pay Range: $37.50 – $56.25 per hour.

- Licensed to practice Physical Therapy in North Carolina, with current licensure.
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited physical therapy school.
- CPR certification, required every two years.
- Active membership in APTA encouraged.
- Provide patient care assessment and treatment per Standard of Practice.
- Maintain accurate, timely patient documentation including evaluations, progress notes, discharge notes, patient education, charges, departmental stats, and ICD-9 codes.
- Meet department financial and productivity standards and adjust schedules as needed.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Promote professional development and education for other health care workers; serve on committees and conduct in-service training programs.
- Supervise PT and PT assistant students in developing clinical skills and quality patient care.
- Communicate professionally and timely with patients, physicians, staff, and external customers.
- Provide appropriate care in accordance with age/developmental guidelines and demonstrate age-appropriate knowledge and skills.
- Adhere to general hospital standards and foster a cooperative work environment.
