Key Responsibilities
  • Lead risk management efforts including claims investigation, data analysis, and staff education to reduce liabilities and enhance patient safety.
  • Serve as the facility’s Patient Safety Officer, spearheading the implementation of JCAHO National Patient Safety Goals.
  • Oversee internal/external audits and compliance with regulatory standards including OSHA and JCAHO.
  • Conduct and chair ethics committee meetings and manage concerns/complaints with professionalism and discretion.
  • Develop and monitor department goals, staffing, budgeting, and continuous improvement programs.
What You’ll Bring :
Must‑Haves
  • Active North Carolina or Multistate Nursing License or in good standing able to attain one
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare risk management or claims investigation/management
  • Exceptional communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain composure in high‑stress situations and foster collaborative relationships
Nice‑to‑Haves
  • Prior management or supervisory experience
  • Familiarity with OSHA and JCAHO standards
  • Background in medical or pharmaceutical sales
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
