Overview

Join our dedicated group of professionals at Advantage Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. in Pembroke, NC. We are hiring a Licensed Outpatient Behavioral Health Therapist to provide biopsychosocial assessment/evaluation, treatment/goal planning, individual, family, and group counseling and psychotherapy, consultation, education, and referral services to consumers. Services are offered on a routine, crisis, and emergency basis as necessary and appropriate. We offer competitive compensation and benefits including clinical supervision for Associate licensed clinicians and NHSC loan repayment program.

Flexible schedule in office and telehealth with work hours of Monday - Friday 8-5.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individual/family and group therapy to clients and families.
  • Conduct assessments to clients.
  • Formulate appropriate treatment plans with client and/or family participation.
  • Ensure that each client receives appropriate treatment or habilitation, which is consistent with accepted standards of practice and the needs of individual clients.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and routine staffing of individual cases.
  • Participate in on-call crisis services on a rotation.
  • Complete necessary documentation, (assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, documentation, etc.) through maintaining up to date medical records, according to agency guidelines.
  • Maintain up to date and accurate authorizations through tracking visits accurately and submitting for authorizations accordingly.
  • Participate in peer review process
  • Consult with psychiatrist/psychologist concerning clinical issues as necessary.
  • Coordination of care to other professionals and stakeholders providing care to member/family.
  • Attend agency trainings and in-services as required.
  • Provide in-service training in job related areas to fellow colleagues as periodically assigned.
  • Provide community talks on Advantage Behavioral Healthcare programs and services or related mental health topics.
  • Provide consultation/emergency services to Qualified Mental Health Professionals or Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professionals within the agency organization. Other duties as deemed appropriate by the director/supervisor or designee.
Requirements
  • An independent licensed clinician is an individual who possess at minimum a Masters Degree and holds an unrestricted license, issued by the North Carolina licensing board regulating the profession in question, in the following disciplines: LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT.
  • Associate level licensed individuals will be required to provide proof of supervision as required by the State Licensing Board.
  • License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation:
    Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or Associate License issued by State Licensing Board.
  • Considerable knowledge of counseling and /or social work principles, techniques, and their applications; human behavior, social systems, and institutions; community resources that may be tapped to effectively achieve and maintain therapeutic endeavors; laws, policies, procedures governing agency/program operation; the nature and effect of a variety of emotional and behavioral problems and methods of intervention.
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective therapeutic alliance with consumers.
  • Ability to effectively establish and maintain work relationships with all levels of the organization and public / private organizations.
