More about our teamJoin our dedicated Respiratory Therapy team at HRMC, a 154‑bed facility offering general surgery, women's care, intensive care, and emergency services. The team focuses on exceptional respiratory care and collaborates closely with providers and caregivers.
ResponsibilitiesRespiratory Aide who excels in this role:
Assists respiratory therapists with preparing for and providing patient care under direct supervision of a licensed respiratory care practitioner.
Must be verified by an educational institution for competency in the following respiratory care procedures:
- Oxygen Supply Systems
- Equipment Processing
- Manual Resuscitation
- Oxygen Administration
- Humidity and Aerosol Therapy
- Small Volume Nebulizer Therapy
- MDI Administration
- Incentive Spirometry
- Non‑invasive Mechanical Airway Clearance Therapy
- Chest Physiotherapy with suctioning
- Arterial Puncture
- Electrocardiogram (if performed)
- Patient Reporting
Applicants must:
- Be enrolled in a recognized Respiratory Care Program approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care or its predecessor, maintain a minimum grade of 2.0 in all RCP courses.
- Register with the Board as required before providing respiratory care procedures.
- Earn Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
- Complete hospital training during a two‑year Radiologic Technologist program and have experience in x‑ray departments, clinics, or medical offices (highly desired).
- Be a member of national, state, or local societies (desired).
- Demonstrate critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
