School Speech Language Pathologist - Burnsville, North Carolina

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students communication development across three welcoming schools in the Burnsville, NC region. Were seeking skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) with CCC certification to provide vital speech therapy services for the  school year. This full-time contract role offers the chance to work with a dynamic and diverse caseload, primarily serving K-5 students, with opportunities to support pre-K through 12th grade.

• Full-time contract: 37.5 hours per week, Monday Friday
• Start:
  August 6, 2026 (teachers); students return August 17
• End:
  June 2, 2027
• Caseload:
  Approximately 40-50 students, primarily elementary
• Locations:
  Three local school sites, Head Start, and one private school
• Possible collaboration with an SLPA on-site

• Current North Carolina SLP license (CCC required)
• Experience with school-based caseloads, especially K-5; comfort with pre-K-12 a plus
• Ability to meet state DHHS Pre-K background check requirements
• Skilled in managing IEPs: writing present levels, goals, service times, and leading meetings for students qualifying under Speech Impairment
• Familiarity with ECATS for documentation and compliance
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills

• Deliver individual and group speech-language therapy
• Complete timely and accurate documentation in ECATS
• Develop and manage IEPs, participate in meetings, and track student progress
• Serve as case manager for students on a Speech Impaired-only IEP
• Coordinate with teachers, families, and support staff
