Pay Scale: $17-$19/hr.
Responsible for providing support and care to meet the physical and psychological needs of consumers through providing direct and indirect care. FBC is a 24-hour Residential Service, open 365 days a year.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides supervision and monitoring of each consumer. Assist with and model appropriate daily living skills.
- Document any reported or observed symptoms of consumers and report to the team.
- Participate in Shift Report
- Provide transportation
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor
Strong interpersonal skills and belief in consumer's ability to recover. Minimal supervision regarding use of time, able to prioritize work assignments. Ability to communicate effectively with professionals and clients/families. Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations. A desire to work with individuals with severe mental illness and substance abuse issues.
Education and/or
Experience:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required with a minimum of 1-year experience with the population served and/or crisis experience. AA degree or a BS/ BA degree preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age and proficient in reading, speaking, and writing.
