Position Overview

Ad Astra Behavior Analytic Services is seeking Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) who are passionate about supporting children and helping families achieve meaningful progress through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

As an RBT, you will provide individualized, one-on-one services based on treatment programs developed and supervised by a BCBA. Your work will focus on building communication, social, adaptive, and daily living skills while supporting the reduction of behaviors that may interfere with learning, safety, or independence. Services are primarily delivered in client homes and community-based environments according to each client’s treatment needs.

Most sessions take place Monday through Friday between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM, with scheduling flexibility based on client needs and employee availability.

Pay Range: $22 - $28 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Additional compensation may be available for bilingual Spanish-speaking applicants.

Key Responsibilities

As an RBT, you will serve as an important member of the client’s clinical team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing individualized, one-on-one ABA services to children.
  • Implementing skill acquisition and behavior intervention programs under the supervision of a BCBA.
  • Teaching communication, social, self-help, adaptive, and daily living skills.
  • Applying evidence-based ABA strategies to promote learning, independence, and positive behavioral outcomes.
  • Supporting interventions designed to decrease behaviors that may interfere with safety, learning, or daily functioning.
  • Collecting accurate and objective client data during treatment sessions.
  • Completing required session documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Communicating client progress, observations, and concerns with supervising BCBAs and other members of the treatment team.
  • Maintaining professional and supportive relationships with clients and their families.
  • Following established clinical, ethical, safety, and confidentiality standards.
  • Implementing treatment programs consistently while responding appropriately to each client’s individual needs.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification in good standing
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Active automobile insurance listing the applicant as a covered driver
  • Current negative TB test

Physical and Cognitive Requirements
  • Frequently sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and transition between floor-level and standing positions.
  • Participate in developmentally appropriate client activities, including floor-based activities, movement activities, transitions, and safety monitoring.
  • Safely work in a variety of environments, including client homes, clinics, schools, community settings, and remote/telehealth environments when applicable.
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move therapy materials and equipment, generally up to 50 pounds.
  • Remain seated for extended periods while providing telehealth services or completing computer-based responsibilities.
  • Operate computers, keyboards, mobile devices, and other equipment requiring fine motor coordination.
