This position provides individualized physical therapy services focused on improving or restoring function, alleviating pain, preventing dysfunction, and helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
COMPENSATION $81,203–$93,288 annual salary
SCHEDULE / WORK ARRANGEMENT Full-Time Onsite in Rutherfordton, NC 28139 Travel not required
POSITION OVERVIEW The Physical Therapist performs initial and ongoing patient assessments, develops individualized plans of care, provides evidence-based physical therapy interventions, evaluates patient progress, and coordinates reevaluation and discharge planning. The position also provides supervision and direction to PTAs, students, and support personnel.
ROLE
- Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patient condition and functional status.
- Develop and update individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients based on goals and capabilities.
- Plan, prepare, and provide evidence-based interventions to maintain, improve, or restore function, alleviate pain, and prevent dysfunction.
- Deliver therapy using standard physical therapy techniques and modalities appropriate to patient age and condition.
- Utilize therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, moist heat/cold, ultrasound, UV/IR lamps, and other appropriate modalities.
- Administer physical agents and safely operate physical therapy equipment, including required setup and safety checks.
- Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommend modifications when needed.
- Establish and document goals, anticipated progress, and timelines.
- Plan for patient reevaluation and discharge.
- Direct and supervise PTAs, students, and support personnel and appropriately delegate tasks.
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, education, and progress toward goals.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy REQUIRED Current and active Physical Therapy license in the State of North Carolina REQUIRED Basic Life Support (BLS) certification REQUIRED Ability to work onsite in Rutherfordton, NC REQUIRED
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Preferred
