Veteran Program Coordinator

Action Health Staffing is seeking a Veteran Program Coordinator to develop and support employment pathways for military veterans in healthcare and home care roles across North Carolina. In this role, you will recruit and onboard veteran caregivers, match them with hospital, clinic, and home care assignments, and serve as a key advocate and resource. You'll collaborate closely with our staffing team, provide transition support, track program outcomes, and ensure a compassionate, respectful experience for both veterans and clients in a fast-paced, caregiver-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and onboard military veterans for caregiving and healthcare support roles
• Match veteran candidates with hospital, clinic, and home care assignments
• Serve as primary contact and advocate for veterans in the program
• Partner with internal staffing teams to meet client staffing needs
• Build relationships with local bases, VA offices, and veteran organizations
• Track program metrics, placements, and retention outcomes
• Provide transition support, check-ins, and resource referrals for veterans
• Ensure compliance with healthcare, credentialing, and documentation standards
• Promote the veteran program through outreach and community events
• Collaborate with leadership to enhance and expand veteran initiatives
