Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Sterile Process ing supervisor and the Director of O.R., the Sterile Process or ensures proper care and maintenance of all surgical instrumentation, equipment, and sterilization process es. The Sterile Process or must demonstrate good knowledge of principles and practices of aseptic techniques, must have knowledge of equipment, instruments, procedures and supplies used in the operating room.

The Sterile Process or must be able to work under pressure and in situations that demand patience, tact and endurance. This position must provide on-going and continual communication with Operating Room staff, including communicating special equipment needs as they arise. The Sterile Process or must also monitor the daily schedule for changes in instrumentation.

Training,

Education & Experience:

  • High School graduate or GED
    required
  • Must be able to communicate and understand the English language both verbal and written
  • Certification in Sterile Process ing is
    preferred
  • A minimum of one (1) year of Sterile Process ing experience
    preferred
