Overview
Responsible for registration of patients, verification of insurance benefits, pre certifications and verification of demographic information.
This position isdeemed
* essential *. Essential staff are expected to report to work during inclement weather.
Responsibilities will also include payment collection and posting, and financialassistanceapplicationsas needed.
QualificationsQualifications
Bilingual skills preferred.
High School diploma or GED required. Able to work weekends, holidays and shift rotations as needed.

Education/formal training/licenser/certification/experience:
High school graduate (or equivalent).Understanding of medical terminology.
Twoyears' experience in a medical related field preferred.
Additional Skills:
Strong verbal communication skills.
Effectivelyableto manage multiple tasks in an organized manner. Must be able to type 35wpm and be computer literate.
The candidate/employee must be committed to excellent customer service when dealing with all types of patients, internal and external.
Working Conditions/Physical Demand
Primary office environment/workstation.
Potential exposure to communicable disease.
- Stooping:
Bending the body downward and forward by bending the spine at the waist. - Crouching:
Bending the body downward and forward by bending the legs and the spine - Standing,walking and sitting for extended periods of time
- Medium physical effort isrequiredinlifting upto 40 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.

Essential Mental Requirements:
- Able to perform in frequent stressful situations
Exposure to Hazards:
- Constant exposure to chemicals, infectious, electrical and fire hazards. Exposure to blood and body fluids requiring Biohazard protection.
