Job Purpose

The Transportation Aide at CENTURY CARE MANAGEMENT INC is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transport of patients within healthcare facilities and to external appointments. This role requires a compassionate and attentive individual who can provide support and assistance to patients during transit, ensuring their comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely transport patients to and from appointments, treatments, and other designated locations.
  • Assist patients in and out of vehicles, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
  • Maintain communication with healthcare staff to coordinate transport schedules and patient needs.
  • Ensure vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and equipped with necessary safety equipment.
  • Monitor patients during transit and respond to any medical emergencies or needs.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to all healthcare regulations and protocols.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to patients and their families.
  • Document transport activities and report any incidents or issues to management.
Qualifications Required Education
  • High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Education
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • CNA license--active and unencumbered
Required Experience
  • Experience working in a healthcare or patient care environment
  • Familiarity with transportation protocols and procedures within a healthcare setting
  • Previous experience in a role involving patient interaction and assistance
Required

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to assist with patient transport and mobility
