Position
The Town of Haw River is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Firefighter/Driver.
Required Certifications and Qualifications- NC Firefighter Certification
- NC Emergency Medical Technician Certification
- Hazardous Materials Operations Level
- NC Class B Driver’s License or obtained within 6 months
- Completion of a High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 6 Months of Fire Service Experience
- Excellent physical condition and close visual acuity to read and write handwritten and typed material, operate computer terminals, visually inspect parts, use measurement devices, and operate machines
- Ability to talk and hear in order to respond to the public and other employees
Work in this position is heavy work, requiring excellent physical condition.
SalaryGrade 17 Firefighter / EMT: $46,104.13 – $56,237.72 with excellent benefits.
