Travel Cath Lab​/EP Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer with over 1 year of experience in adult transthoracic echocardiography for a cardiology unit supporting inpatient, ED, and outpatient populations.

• Current BLS certification required
• ARDMS-RDCS or CCI-RCIS certification required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum of 1 year of core work experience in cardiac sonography, with most recent experience within the last year
• Graduate of an accredited cardiac ultrasound program preferred
• Experience with adult transthoracic echocardiography, contrast studies, doppler, and color flow imaging
• No TEE or stress echo experience required
• Strong ability to work independently with good time management skills
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

• 15-bed hospital with an attached 8-bed ED and Primary Care Clinic
• Cardiology unit performing 4-8 echoes per day
• Patient population includes adult inpatient, ED, and outpatient
• May assist with precepting other Echo Techs, though not required
• Uses EPIC EMR and ISCV by Phillips PACS system
• Preferred use of Phillips EPIQ ultrasound equipment
• 8-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday,  or
• No weekend rotation or on-call requirements
• Holiday coverage as needed based on department needs
• May float to nearby Advocate Health facilities based on department needs
• Perform adult transthoracic echocardiograms, contrast studies, and doppler/color flow imaging studies
• Department offers remote leadership support, 24/7 RT and Hospitalist coverage, and radiologist availability
• Limited transporter availability within the unit
• Department orientation and EPIC training provided upon start
• Initial scanning competency assessment required
• Scrub requirement:
  Galaxy blue scrub top with black scrub pants
• Free parking available on-site
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Returning employees must be separated from any Advocate Health Southeast facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
• RTO approval available for up to 7 days
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
