Physical Therapist Assistant; PTA; North Wilkesboro

Make an impact in the educational setting with a rewarding contract opportunity designed for a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). This role offers hands-on experience supporting student success in a collaborative, school-based environment. Scheduled for 16 hours per week across two days, this assignment begins in mid-August 2026 and continues through early June 2027.

Ideal candidates possess a current North Carolina PTA license and have a genuine passion for providing therapy in a school setting. This position is centered around helping young learners reach their highest potential, working closely with educators, other therapists, and families.

• Active PTA license for the state of North Carolina
• Experience working with pediatric or school-age populations preferred
• Strong understanding of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt treatment strategies for diverse student needs
• Organization and time management for a part-time schedule

• Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed PT
• Assist in developing and implementing therapy plans that support educational goals
• Monitor and document student progress, updating goals as needed
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP processes as appropriate
• Ensure documentation compliance according to school and state guidelines
