Role Overview:
Responsible for applying ionizing radiation to patients following physician prescriptions, ensuring safe and effective treatment delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Serve as a Super User for radiation technology and act as a Preceptor for training new staff.
- Perform both CT and treatment procedures with high proficiency.
- Participate in HDR QA and specialized treatment protocols.
- Demonstrate expertise in VisionRT, Simulation/IV Contrast, and new treatment devices or protocols.
- Contribute to at least one presentation or proposal annually to leadership or physicians on cost savings, safety, or efficiency improvements.
- Lead by example, fostering employee satisfaction through process improvements.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum of three years of experience as a radiation therapist, including CT procedures and specialized protocols.
- ARRT certification in Radiation Oncology.
- Successfully complete department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
Strong technical proficiency, mentorship abilities, proactive in process improvements, and effective communication skills.
