As a mental health professional at SSG, you won't be another cog in a machine. You'll be the person who helps a struggling student find their voice again. You'll collaborate with teachers and parents to unlock what's blocking a child's success. You'll design interventions tailored to real students with real challenges. Every day, your clinical expertise and human warmth will ripple outward—changing how a student sees themselves, how families navigate hardship, and how entire school communities approach mental wellness.

• Deliver Direct Mental Health Support — Provide individual and group counseling to students navigating emotional, behavioral, and social challenges; offer crisis intervention when students need it most
• Build Collaborative Partnerships — Work hand-in-hand with educators, parents, and administrators to identify student needs and create cohesive support plans that actually work
• Design Tailored Interventions — Develop evidence-based counseling programs and behavioral strategies rooted in your clinical training (CBT, trauma-informed care, play therapy, etc.)
• Champion Inclusion & Belonging — Create a school climate where every student feels seen, supported, and capable of growth
• Document with Purpose — Maintain comprehensive clinical notes and treatment plans that meet regulatory standards and drive measurable student outcomes
• Lead with Empathy — Be the person students trust, families advocate for, and educators depend on—a true mental health counselor and change agent

• Current NC License — LCSW, LCSWA, LCMHC, LCMHCA, LMFT, or LMFTA (the credential doesn't matter as much as your commitment to excellence)
• Advanced Education — Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field
• School-Based Expertise — Preferred experience working in schools or with student populations; proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, relationship-driven environments
• Clinical Confidence — Comfort with crisis assessment, treatment planning, evidence-based modalities, and collaborative care models

• Competitive Salary + $1,000 Sign-On Bonus — LCMHCA/LCSWA positions start at $50,000;
  Licensed LCMHC/LCSW/LMFT positions start at $55,000 (commensurate with experience and credentials)
