Medical Assistant - Adv Ortho W

CRHS is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant for Advanced Orthopedics
in Whiteville, NC.

Performs clinical duties as they pertain to office. Performs routine medical procedures and tests in conjunction with patient visits and assists the Physician/Advanced Clinical Practitioner as necessary. Spends approximately 50% of the time acting as a scribe for the Physician.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certified as a CMA, RMA, or CCMA.
• If not certified as those listed about, you must be a graduate of an approved program in medical assisting and meet all eligibility requirements for certification as a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
• If a recent graduate of an approved program of medical assistant, s/he must obtain certification as a CMA, RMA, or CCMA (within 2 years of employment).
• Current BLS Certification.
• Will be required to demonstrate competence in the performance of duties specific to all age groups of patients.
• In specific circumstances, experience working as a non-certified medical assistant in the specialty in which team member will work will be accepted in lieu of certification. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

1 year of experience as a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant. Preferably experience be in a physician office setting. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
