Position: Associate Professional (AP) – Day Treatment

Pay: $19.00–$22.00 per hour, based on education and relevant experience

Job Type: Flex Time / Part-Time, with opportunity for additional hours as enrollment grows

Schedule: Flexible schedule based on Day Treatment program hours, enrollment, and client needs

Population: Children & Adolescents

Navigating Day Treatment Center / Family Advantage LLC is seeking a motivated and dependable Associate Professional (AP) to join our Child & Adolescent Day Treatment Program.

The AP works as part of the multidisciplinary treatment team to provide structured therapeutic and skill-building interventions to children and adolescents experiencing mental health, emotional, and behavioral challenges.

The Associate Professional will work under appropriate clinical/program supervision and assist with implementing each child's Person-Centered Plan and treatment goals.

The Associate Professional will:

• Provide direct behavioral health interventions to children and adolescents within the Day Treatment program.
• Implement interventions and strategies identified in each client's treatment plan.
• Facilitate or assist with structured therapeutic, psycho educational, behavioral, and skill-building activities within the AP's scope and under appropriate supervision.
• Help clients develop coping skills, emotional regulation, communication skills, problem-solving skills, and appropriate social behaviors.
• Observe, monitor, and document client behaviors and progress toward treatment goals.
• Complete required service documentation accurately and within established time frames.
• Assist with crisis prevention, de-escalation, and implementation of safety plans.
• Maintain a safe, structured, therapeutic, and supportive treatment environment.
• Communicate significant behavioral, clinical, or safety concerns to the supervising QP or Licensed Professional.
• Participate in treatment-team meetings, staff meetings, supervision, and training.
• Collaborate with QPs, Licensed Professionals, paraprofessionals, families, schools, care managers, and other members of the treatment team as assigned.
• Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients and families.
• Protect client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and Client Rights requirements.
• Report suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation, safety concerns, and incidents according to agency policy and applicable requirements.
• Follow agency policies, procedures, treatment plans, and clinical direction.

Applicants must meet applicable North Carolina requirements for classification as an Associate Professional (AP) for the services being provided.

Candidates must possess the education and/or qualifying behavioral health experience necessary to meet the applicable AP definition.

The agency will verify education, degree/transcripts when applicable, and qualifying behavioral health experience before final classification as an Associate Professional.

Experience working with children and adolescents in behavioral health, mental health, Day Treatment, residential services, schools, foster care, juvenile services, or a related human-services setting is preferred.
