Starting $55k (Provisional) - $60k (Fully Licensed)

Under indirect supervision, provides, oversees, and/or administers a wide range of psychosocial evaluation/assessment, diagnostic, substance abuse counseling, crisis intervention services in a high-intensity clinical environment which requires a high degree of independent decision-making. Most aspects of this job require clinical assessment, evaluation, and intervention skills to Substance Abuse and Co-occurring disorders consumers that are treated with Intensive Outpatient Treatment, a minimum of three hours per day, three days per week, which can include individual, family, and/or group therapy in an outpatient setting.

Person Centered plan development and implementation are also core functions of this job.

• Provides clinical psychosocial assessment and Substance Abuse treatment services to consumers with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders/problems.
• Develops and implements the person centered plan for all SAIOP clients.
• Provides evidence-based clinically effective SAIOP treatment services.
• Consults with various community stakeholder agency staff, law enforcement, family members or support network as deemed necessary or clinically appropriate; ongoing case management interventions are expected.
• Provides appropriate recommendations for follow-up and linkages to community services for consumers who have received services and require follow-up to maintain sobriety/abstinence.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Consults with other local providers and referral sources by telephone as needed to insure coordination and transition of services when necessary.

There are 25 units of productivity standard to meet. The clinician is expected to collect the necessary information needed for reimbursement for the assessments that are done by the clinician and to turn in appropriate paperwork so that assessments, Person Centered plans, and interventions may be billed.

Doctorate degree in Psychology, or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or addictions from an accredited college or university and licensed eligible or provisionally licensed in their perspective field. Applicants with master’s degrees who are provisionally licensed or licensed eligible as clinical social workers, professional counselors, substance abuse counselors, marriage and family therapists, or clinical addiction specialists will be given consideration for employment.

LCSW and LCAS staff is expected to complete first evaluation training and provide first evaluations in the community. Psychologist staff is expected to provide first evaluations in the community.
