Job OverviewThe Bar Supervisor is responsible for cultivating the best guest experience and maintaining a strong presence behind the bar to assist staff and guests with bar, coffee, and other beverage‑related needs, ensuring a successful high‑quality experience for guests.
Responsibilities- Takes inventory of coffee, tea, and non‑alcoholic beverages
- Maintains cleaning standards for Dining Room and Tavern bar areas
- Understands bar service and operations
- Functions as a full‑time bartender
- Assists in training new bartenders
- Trains staff on coffee, tea, and cocktails
- Continues education on all aspects of beverage
- Complies with all company policies and procedures
- Works consistent attendance and works well with other Team Members, Managers, and guests
- Maintains flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
- Experience in the hospitality industry preferred
- Strong knowledge of wine & spirits
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with guests, team members, and managers
- Basic knowledge of math for property‑wide guest charging and closing checks
- Ability to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and company goals
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on feet for a long period
- Capability to safely operate a company vehicle or golf cart
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a basic understanding of math for property‑wide guest charging and check closing.
Reasoning AbilityMust be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals.
Physical DemandsMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and safely operate a company vehicle or golf cart.
Work EnvironmentDining Room, Bar, and Kitchen areas.
