Overview

It’s fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they’re doing! We’re committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business. The Hospitality internship is designed for students enrolled in a Hospitality and Tourism Management degree or similar program seeking first‑hand experience working at a luxury hospitality resort.

Internship Structure

The program offers real‑world experience by rotating through each area of service for four weeks and the opportunity to attend staff and management meetings. Through the internship, participants will gain first‑hand experience in the three most common areas of hospitality:
Guest Services, Food and Beverage, and Housekeeping.

Guest Services Rotation

In this rotation, the intern will primarily work as a Guest Services Agent to gain an understanding of the lodging front‑of‑house operations in a luxury hotel. The focus is on assisting guests with luggage, property orientations, valet, and other requests as needed. The intern will also have the opportunity to shadow at the front desk and with a lodging manager to better understand all of the lodging front‑of‑house functions.

Food

and Beverage Rotation

The position focuses on front‑of‑house fine dining in the dining room at the inn and lasts one month of the three‑month internship. The intern will perform food runner duties: presenting, carrying, and running food, as well as clearing plates by restaurant standards. They will receive on‑the‑job training and shadowing opportunities with the host team, attend beverage classes, and shadow a dining manager.

Housekeeping

Rotation

The intern will assist housemen and housekeepers in their daily duties to gain an understanding of lodging back‑of‑house operations in a luxury hotel. The focus is on maintaining cleanliness of common areas and guest rooms and operating the laundry for the resort. The intern will also shadow a housekeeping supervisor or manager to learn coordination and inspections required to keep the department running efficiently.
