The Valet Attendant (Valet Runner) is responsible for supporting guest arrivals and departures by parking and retrieving vehicles, assisting with luggage, and maintaining smooth front drive operations. This role also supports operational needs such as moving employee vehicles and assisting with general property flow.
The Bell/Valet Attendant reports to the Valet Supervisor and Director of Rooms and works closely with the Front Office team to ensure a seamless guest experience.
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONSABOUT OUR ROLEThe Valet Attendant (Valet Runner) is responsible for supporting guest arrivals and departures by parking and retrieving vehicles, assisting with luggage, and maintaining smooth front drive operations. This role also supports operational needs such as moving employee vehicles and assisting with general property flow.
The Bell/Valet Attendant reports to the Valet Supervisor and Director of Rooms and works closely with the Front Office team to ensure a seamless guest experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure
- Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles in a timely manner
- Run luggage to and from guest rooms during check-in and check-out
- Assist guests with directions, property information, and general inquiries
- Move employee vehicles as needed to support parking flow
- Maintain organized vehicle flow and traffic control in the front drive
- Issue valet tickets and properly log vehicle information
- Ensure all vehicles are handled with care and professionalism
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of valet podium, luggage carts, and work areas
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Report vehicle damage, safety concerns, or guest issues immediately
- Adhere to all safety and operational procedures
- Previous valet, bell, or hospitality experience preferred but not required
- Strong guest service skills and professional demeanor
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles (if applicable)
- Flexible availability including AM/PM shifts, weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8+ hours per shift)
- Ability to run or jog short distances when retrieving or parking vehicles
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds (luggage, equipment, etc.)
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach frequently
- Ability to enter and exit a wide variety of vehicles, including low-profile and oversized vehicles
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, wind, etc.)
- Ability to tolerate vehicle exhaust and moderate traffic exposure
- Manual dexterity sufficient to handle keys, tickets, handheld devices, and radios
- Visual acuity to operate vehicles safely and monitor surroundings
- Hearing ability to communicate effectively in a high-traffic environment
