Pay Range

The pay range for this role is $26.44-$33.65 per hour. Compensation is based on your unique qualifications and experience.

Job Summary

The Human Resources Staffing and Benefits Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day tasks of recruiting and onboarding, as well as carrying out benefits tasks. Responsibilities include facilitating staffing needs, posting job listings, screening candidates, and collaborating with department managers on hiring decisions. The Staffing Specialist should be resourceful, maximizing resources for staffing tasks and establishing a well-rounded staffing process, ensuring high-quality candidates are hired accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities And Duties

Staffing Duties

• Coordinate with hiring managers to facilitate hiring needs, ensuring a smooth hiring process.

• Post and update job requisitions.

• Submit online job postings, shortlist candidates, and schedule job interviews.

• Prescreen candidates when requested.

• Submit and manage offer letters, maximizing the organization's appeal to the candidate.

• Facilitate pre-hire requirements such as background checks, drug tests, and other requirements.

• Ensure smooth communication with candidates and new hires, ensuring timely resolution of queries.

• Create and maintain effective communication materials for candidates and new hires.

• Coordinate orientation and training sessions for new employees.

• Ensure managers and current employees are informed of and prepared for new hires.

Benefit Duties

• Oversee new hire benefits communication, ensuring employees are well-informed on their benefit options and have ample opportunity to sign up.

• Assist employees with benefit questions and concerns.

• Verify benefits bills against current employee benefits.

• Oversee employee benefit changes and ensure compliance with vendor contracts and state and federal laws.

• Ensure retirement benefits are offered to eligible employees and assist employees with questions or concerns.

• Maintain tracking of integrations to ensure benefits and deductions are being updated in a timely and efficient manner.

• Ensure compliance with ACA by monitoring hours worked and communicating concerns to managers/supervisors.

• Coordinate employee webstore additions, removals, and upkeep.

General Duties

• Assist HR Director in policy and job description formulation and projects.

• Manage sensitive matters with a high level of confidentiality and discretion.

• Ensure compliance with any company policies and procedures.

• Help as needed with computer duties, maintaining documents, calendar coordination, and communication between departments.
