Responsibilities
An exciting opportunity is available for an HR Manager to lead the HR function for Altec in Creedmoor, NC. This position is an on-site position. Reporting to the Regional HR Manager, this position will support the General Manager and leadership teamin designing, planning, implementing, and administering human resources programs for Creedmoor Operations
. The responsibilities and minimum qualifications are as follows:
- Advises managers and associates on state and federal employment regulations, benefit and compensation policies, HR procedures et cetera
- Supervises Creedmoor HR Team who is responsible for recruiting, payroll, benefits, performance management, and other HR duties
- Conducts exit interviews and ensures that necessary employment termination paperwork is completed; determines trends and takes action as needed
- Conducts meetings with Plant Managers and/or General Managers to determine staffing needs; creates strategies to source, select and retain highly qualified and capable associates
- Consults with or serves as a technical liaison between business, industry, and government
- Implements, administers and evaluates HR programs including performance management, affirmative action, and employment equity
- Ensures company compliance with federal and state laws, including reporting requirements
- Observes, interviews, and surveys associates and conducts focus group meetings to collect job, organizational, and occupational information;
Evaluates positions, determining FLSA classification, essential functions, et cetera - Researches job and worker requirements, structural and functional relationships among jobs and occupations, and occupational trends
- Provides input to management for the resolution of associate relations issues and investigations
- Researches associate benefit and health and safety practices and recommends modifications to existing policies
- Acts as Company representative at conferences and events to promote Altec related programs
- Conducts or directs the internal investigation of compliance issues;
Conducts periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed;
Consults with corporate attorneys as necessary to address difficult legal compliance issues - Serves as a confidential point of contact for associates to communicate with management
- Knowledge of state unemployment regulations and processes
- Prepares and maintains personnel records, as well as auditing of records
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Bachelor's Degree Required, and 5 Years Applicable Experience
- Bachelor's Degree Required, and 3 Years Applicable Leadership Experience
- HR Certification (SHRM or HRCI) Preferred
