The Swag is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support the Human Resources Director and HR leadership team. This onsite role in Maggie Valley, NC is built around creating a welcoming, professional HR experience for employees while keeping key HR processes moving smoothly. The position offers an hourly rate of USD 18–19 and a benefits package designed to support you and your family.
Whatyou’ll do
- Professionally and warmly meet and greet guests to the HR department.
- Provide administrative support to the HR Director and HR Manager.
- Coordinate new hire orientation by ensuring all required paperwork is complete and all documents are received.
- Complete HR administrative data entry for new hires.
- Maintain departmental information and employee files.
- Enter and maintain employee data in Inova (HRIS) (with HR Manager and HR Coordinator responsibilities).
- Answer phone and email inquiries, draft email memos, and help with correspondence.
- Maintain orderliness of office supplies and equipment.
- Support employee communications across properties through monthly newsletter, monthly calendar, bulletin boards, posters, and flyers.
- Assist with tracking EOM and LOQ for both properties.
- Participate in the New Hire Orientation Program.
- Collect, sort, and distribute office mail.
- Support planning and execution of employee events led by the Human Resources Department.
- Promote opportunities within the properties and help champion HR culture.
- Complete other duties as assigned by management.
- Minimum 2 years of human resources experience preferred.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while carrying out delegated tasks.
- Clear, pleasant communication in English with guests, management, and co-workers in person and by telephone.
- Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
, internet research, and the ability to quickly learn new software. - Ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal oversight.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and create a welcoming environment for potential and current employees.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
