Summary
Under direction of MIS Director, analyzes computer hardware and software problems and makes repairs or recommendations as necessary. Supports the development of new projects involving personal computers and the hospital information systems. Provides computer hardware and software setup and upgrades. Provides end‑user hardware and software training as required. Provides technical support for Hospital Information Systems. Provides network support as required. Supports on‑call schedule for resolving hardware and software problems.
Educationand Formal Training
Associate degree; with at least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Microsoft or other industry certifications desired. A+ Certification desired. Networking desired.
Work ExperienceTwo years of experience preferred in hardware support.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities RequiredComputer hardware; computer software applications;
Microsoft Office, Windows operating systems, DOS and remote access. Basic networking fundamentals. Peripheral hardware; CPUs, scanners and printers. Must have good written and verbal communication skills in individual and group settings. Local travel will be required.
