Position: Cyber Operations Specialist (3rd Shift)
Location: Zebulon

We are seeking an Information Security Analyst to perform analysis and execute technical processes to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks across systems, applications, and networks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform information security tasks and activities in alignment with established policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Review system activity, access data, and security alerts to identify irregularities, patterns, and potential risks.

Conduct routine vulnerability scans and participate in testing activities, documenting results and tracking identified issues.

Monitor system access and security tools to identify potential security events, investigate and document findings.

Evaluate security events within defined scope, determine likely cause based on available data, and escalates more complex issues.

Carry out identity and access management activities, including access reviews and validation of user permissions against established controls.

Work with internal teams to gather information, review system behavior, and help identify control gaps or areas for improvement.

Apply security tools and technologies to maintain system protection and support ongoing operations.

Follow security policies, standards, and procedures to analyze systems and ensure compliance with requirements.

Maintain documentation of system activity, analysis performed, issues identified, and steps taken to support operational consistency.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in information security, systems analysis, or related technical field.
Foundational knowledge of data security principles, system architecture, and security controls.
Experience or exposure to system monitoring, data analysis, or risk identification activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with security tools such as vulnerability scanners, SIEM platforms, or identity and access management solutions.
Familiarity with regulatory or risk frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO).
Entry‑level certifications such as Security+, Network+, or equivalent.
Experience in the financial services industry.
