- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience providing technical support within an IT environment, showcasing proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge in diagnosing hardware issues and performing basic repairs on personal computers, printers, and related devices.
- Knowledge of computers and related software applications.

Work HoursThe Information Systems Analyst position at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College follows a standard work schedule of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This role requires weekly on-campus attendance to facilitate in-person collaboration, meetings, and support activities. Full-time on-campus presence may be necessary during designated reporting periods or during blackout maintenance periods to support critical operations and address emergent issues effectively. Additionally, occasional flexibility in work hours may be required to accommodate evening or weekend work, especially during major system upgrades or urgent technical incidents.
Efforts are made to provide advance notice and support work-life balance for employees while ensuring seamless IT support services for the college community.

Duty and Responsibilities- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end users, responding to help desk requests and resolving hardware, software, network, and other IT-related issues promptly.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and network systems.
- Prepares and configures workstations for use, which includes transferring files, installing software, and testing compatibility.
- Transports, deploys, and moves computer stations and peripheral devices.
- Installs and troubleshoots printers and other peripherals; resolves connectivity issues.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems, escalating complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
- Participate in IT projects, including system deployments, migrations, and technology rollouts.
- Coordinate with other IT team members to deliver seamless technology solutions across the organization.
- Document technical procedures, system configurations, and problem resolutions for future reference.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and assist with procurement processes.
- Demonstrate a proactive, customer-focused approach while fostering teamwork, collaboration, and the sharing of knowledge among colleagues.
