Job Description
Provide support to customers by researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting issues, and resolving incidents that cannot be resolved by Tier 1, and providing support for software and hardware technical problems. This role is customer‑facing and requires excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work under pressure when customers are experiencing critical incidents.
Roles & Responsibilities Tier 3 (L3) IT Infrastructure Engineer Responsibilities- Manage and resolve almost any high‑expertise problem, act as the go‑to person for solving difficult issues, and lead L3 teams.
- Perform troubleshooting, configuration, database administration, and repair for servers, network, infrastructure, data center, email, file shares, and other infrastructure issues.
- Control infrastructure, cloud, network, and DC level operations and secure high‑end administration tasks.
- Troubleshooting & administration of Cisco Layer 2 & Layer 3 routing, Cisco Wireless Networks, Cisco PBX Administration, and Cisco CCNA‑certified protocols.
- Support IT cabling, infrastructure planning, and design (cable patching, switch configuration/deployment, port enable/disable, analyze network traffic).
- Experience with TCP/IP, DHCP, subnetting, VLAN, POE, and packet capturing (e.g., Wireshark).
- Network maintenance, support, and refresh;

- Site infrastructure knowledge: power/UPS, HVAC, cabling.
- Install and troubleshoot server room hardware (rack servers, fiber, switches, disk drives, memory).

- Administer Windows Server operating systems (Windows Server 2016, 2012/2016), monitoring, troubleshooting, parts swap/repair.
- Manage DHCP, DNS, Print Server, File Shares, Microsoft SCCM.
- Support hardware for servers, data backup libraries, SAN/NAS.
- Server, storage, and backup systems maintenance, support, refresh (rack‑mount, install, configure hardware).
- Knowledge of Server 2012/2016 policy and security management.
- Support plant manufacturing systems (e.g., GALC, AER, PTCS); ANDON and PLC support.
- First‑level support for business and plant floor applications; manage escalation to SMEs.
- Root‑cause analysis for outages and problem management; exceptional customer service under pressure (e.g., 15‑minute turnaround).
- On‑call 24×7 availability during non‑work hours; flexible hours and overtime.
- Physical: able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders and staircases to access IT equipment.
- Travel: willing to travel to other Toyota sites within the US on a short basis.
- Teamwork, professional demeanor, strong ethics.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with remote control tools and remote support.
- Ongoing support of various manufacturing computer systems.
- Windows Active Directory maintenance, OU configuration, Group Policy Objects.
- Change management process experience.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, computer science or related field.
- TMMBC English 50%-100% competence.
- Experience/knowledge of PLCs.
- Plant monitoring software knowledge (Active Plant, Wonderware, Ignition).
- Knowledge of iGear, Kepware, or other machine data gathering tools.
- SQL Server database administration.
- Storage and backup systems management.
- Previous experience supporting a large corporate, manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting business and mission‑critical applications.
- 3 to 5 years of experience performing Level 3 responsibilities.
- Knowledge of Cisco VoIP hardware/software/server operation/configuration.
- Technical assistance and support for computer hardware and software; respond to end‑user inquiries.
- Install desktop/laptop, printers/scanners, and peripherals with approved tools.
- Troubleshoot operating system issues, LAN/WAN connection issues.
- Update tickets with accurate, timely records of work performed, resolution details.
- Maintain and contribute to a knowledge base.
- Coordinate warranty repair and inventory management activities.
- Escalate to 3rd‑party vendors when necessary.
- Raise and coordinate problem‑management issues.
- Perform end‑user/infra tasks when required; strong understanding of SLA, KPI management.
- On‑site operational support for remote management, installation, troubleshooting of data center equipment.
- Rescue all plant IT requests (password resets, access, etc.).
$70,000 to $80,000 Per Annum
