The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science invites applications for part‑time or adjunct faculty positions in the following subject areas:
Computer Programming Languages (Java) (on‑campus), Data Structures, Digital Logic, Database Systems, Digital Forensics, Network Security, Web Security, and Game Design and Development. These positions are especially suited for candidates who hold a terminal degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or who have completed at least 18 hours of approved graduate coursework in a related field.
Work locations include Online, Hybrid, and the Main Campus of The University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

Purpose:
Imparting Instruction in Computer Science / Information Technology
- Ph.D. in Computer Science or Information Technology, or a Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (or a related field) with a minimum of 18 hours of graduate work in Computer Science or Information Technology. All degrees must be from regionally accredited institutions.
- Strong consideration for candidates with documented professional experience and success in undergraduate teaching.
- Ability to structure and implement distance‑education‑based courses is required for positions that may include online teaching.
- Previous experience teaching computer science/Information Technology courses online, in‑class, and hybrid at regionally accredited higher education institutions.
